Mindfulness is a practice, or training that develops the skill of attention regulation. 

 

When you are Mindful, you are paying close attention to the present moment. You are focused, attentive, awake and alert.  You are not distracted, daydreaming, operating on autopilot, caught up in your thoughts or busy planning. 

 

How do you become Mindful?

 

By practicing attention regulation exercises and Mindful Meditation . You intentionally step out of your hurried, distracted and busy mind, and return to the present moment. over and over again.

 

In presence, you are not lost in your thoughts or operating on automatic pilot. You are awake and aware of what is going on inside and around you moment to moment.  

 

With practice, this focused awareness helps to foster Mindfulness  -  a life experienced with greater emotional regulation, resilience,  wisdom, productivity, equilibrium and meaning.

 

Neuroscience itself supports the profound impact Mindfulness exerts on the human brain within weeks of training.
